WANT TO PARTICIPATE?

If you want to participate, here are the simple steps you need to take:
  1. Contact your employer. If your employer has agreed to participate in the NCPERS plan by authorizing payroll deductions, you may enroll during the next open enrollment period. Open enrollments are held each year from October 1st through November 30th. New employees may enroll within 90 days of their hire date.

  2. Employers whose employees are members of IMRF may participate in the life insurance program simply by authorizing the payroll deduction. A special open enrollment period may be held for such employees not previously eligible for coverage.
